Chakra Calm is full of intention. The main focus is to scour each chakra like a person would dust their home. The result is free flowing energy throughout each chakra. There is no pause between songs and the intention behind this is to make sure that the spaces between chakras is also addressed. 

As I studied chakras for this CD I found many different views, perspectives, and information on the subject. I chose a path that resonated with me and it is my hope that it resonates with each listener as well. 

While making this music I tried to picture myself as the chakra I was writing for. In many instances I only knew what key the given chakra resonated with and followed my intuition as to what instrument to use.

I used many different sound sources for this creation. You will hear acoustic guitars and bass, electric guitars and basses, drums, shruti box, keyboards, music apps, bells, and  various percussion instruments.   

The songs are based on A 440 tuning. The first chakra is in the key of C, the second chakra D the 3rd chakra E, and so on. The 8th and 9th chakras are not as focused on key signature as much as the previous chakras as these chakras are off the body and more ethereal in nature. At the end of the 9th chakra you will hear all notes C through B played all at once to resonate the Om frequency which is the frequency of creation. The actual Om frequency is 136.1 Hz but in this passage I combined all the notes as it resembles all things at once happening at the same time. 

The easiest way to use this work is to play it from start to finish. But there are other ways to use the music. If you have a blockage in a specific chakra, you can play that chakra song over and over. Most of the chakras have two songs each, so that you can also make playlists which address the areas you would like to focus on. 

For example, if you would like to focus on the root chakra you could play tracks 1 &15 in a playlist. If you're working with someone that has a difficult time speaking their mind, then you can play tracks 5 & 11. 

Make sure to utilize your critical thinking. For example if you are working on someone with digestive problems, you can bring in chakras that pertain to that part of the body, such as tracks 2 & 14.

As you can see, one can be very creative in the way that one utilizes the content of Chakra Calm.

Please note that this is not a cure for any physical problem but it is a powerful place to start, and a great supplement to all treatments focused in specific areas.

Since the release of this work I have seen different reactions during my (massage, therapeutic) sessions. A few people have found some of the songs to be harsh or disturbing, which makes it evident that the Chakra pertaining to that particular song is in need of cleansing. After hearing the song a few more times it becomes less harsh and more soothing, concluding that the chakra has been cleared and is now flowing properly. I have also played this work for someone at their end of life. A  few minutes after the last song the person left their body and continued on to the next realm. After that experience, I realized  the medicine in this music can be powerful and profound.
